We can learn a lot from animals. Take Tucker for example. Tucker is a 3-year-old albino Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher mix. He has MPS VI (mucopolysaccharidoses). MPS is a genetic abnormality, according to petmd.com. One possible cause of the disorder is inbreeding.
Some of the more common symptoms include bone disease, eye cloudiness, enlarged tongue, facial deformity. Humans can also have this disorder. Tucker has shown the world that having MPS isn’t going to slow him down! He has nearly 46,000 followers on Instagram! His fans love to keep track of all his adventures.
Tucker’s face may look a little different, but it is what he has on the inside that matters.
Because of his MPS, Tucker’s eyes are cloudy. He isn’t blind, but sometimes has difficulty getting around. He sports a pair of goggles that help shield his eyes from the light.
One look at Tucker and you will notice he has an unusual appearance. Here he looks a lot like a bat!
