A woman was on vacation in Greece when she found a dog with serious injuries. She did what she could to help him.
Kiara Ijzendoorn and her family saw the dog when they were driving in Crete, Greece. The dog wasn’t able to move and was lying in the middle of the road.
Kiara said the dog’s back legs were paralyzed, and they could see a bump on his back which was his broken spine. Kiara followed the dog to a barn. The dog had been living on his own in a small barn, and Kiara knew she had to help the poor creature.
The next day Kiara and her family returned to the barn and gave the dog some food. They named the dog Fos. Kiara said despite the pain, Fos was friendly and happy to see them. Kiara took him to the vet who said that most likely Fos had been abused by his previous owner.
Once Fos got his medical clearance, Kiara was able to take him home with her to Holland. Today, Kiara say Fos is doing much better. Fos remains afraid of cats and older men and still has some difficulty walking.
But he is undergoing medical treatments for the bulge and Kiara says it has gotten smaller. If Kiara and her family hadn’t stopped that day, Fos would have continued to suffer and would have certainly died.
Thankfully, now he has a home and is getting the love he deserves! Thank you Kiara for having a compassionate heart and saving Fos’ life! Share away, people!
